Description:    Standing woman, probably the goddess Demeter. She wears a long chiton which reaches to the ground. Body and arms wrapped in a cloak, the upper hem of which is wrapped around the neck like a collar. The right arm is bent behind the back, the left arm is in front of the left hip. The ends of the cloak fall over the left forearm. The head is tilted slightly towards the right shoulder. Hair parted in the middle. The woman is wearing Dionysis’s crown. A high strap handle is attached behind the head. Hollow inside, a large opening in the back was necessary to avoid damages during burning, and was most probably also used to attach the figure to a large vase.
