Description:    Hollow band with D-shaped cross-section, which elegantly widens into a mount holding a beautiful intaglio of the Roman Imperial Eagle.

Size: Outer size 17mm x19mm, inner size 12mm x 14,5mm.

Condition: Very good condition with original intaglio. Band with some cracks and dents. Generally a very delicate example of ancient Roman craftmanship.

Provenance: Acquired from the German private collection M. Dollinger, who inherited the ring from the German private collection Fritz Rose. The Rose collection was created between 1960 and 1986 through acquisitions made during the numerous travels of the collectors.
