Antike römische Keramik vom Typ Terra Sigillata

Archiveintrag vom August 2010

Vorab-Verkauf römischer Terra-Sigillata-Waren und anderer antiker Keramik.
Pre-offer for ancient roman ceramics of the Terra Sigillata type and other Samian and misc ceramics.

It might be interesting to some people to see part of our current stock of Terra Sigillata dishes from Roman provinces Germania and Belgica in advance. Please find the assembled photos below. All pieces are for sale.
There are many very interesting pieces included with stamps from roman provinces Germania and Belgica. We acquired Terra Sigillata with many different stamps from two collections during the last year. The pictures only show a fraction of it. Of course, all pieces come with decent provenance. In many cases, the find spot or the region where the piece was found was well documented.
Another notable piece is an unusually large Roman red slip plate. It has 55cm diameter and weights 9kg. We had it TL-dated to 1800 years of age (possibly large uncertainty, as usual).
