| Description: |
Large, globular jug with an attached conical foot. Gently rounded shoulder. Tall neck, slightly tapered in the middle, widens considerably towards the lip, the rim of which is bent outwards. Tre-foil shaped mouth. Curved strap handle, attached to the lip and decorated on each side with a double rotelle, between which is an archaically crafted bull's head serving as a thumb rest. The handle terminates in a palmette at the body. A very elaborately decorated, finely crafted piece. A fascinating example of an early Greek bronze vessel. |

Professionally restored with some additions. Beautiful multicolored patina on the gently cleaned surface. Overall, an impressive bronze vessel with wonderful decorations.
