Beschreibung: | Bracelet from antiquity to late antiquity. Such types were used as a votive offering, but also for actual wear (cf. Cantz, Roman, Byzantine and Early Medieval Glass). This glass bracelet made in a technique without visible joint. Body of white glass with elaborate polychrome design made from glass paste on the outside. Stripes of red and yellow, next to a band of black glass paste. Traces of actual wear on the inside propose that this bracelet was not solely used as a votive offering. |
