Apulian kylix from Red-Swan-Group

Object:       Kylix (flat wine cup with two handles)

Date: Second half of 4th century BC

Description:    Shallow bowl with two horizontal handles and small foot shaped as a ring. Outside laurel branches between the handles. Inside laurel wreath, in central tondo swan to the left inside two concentric rings.
Vessels of this type were attributed by Beazley to the so-called Red-Swan-Group.

Size: Diameter 223 mm with and 157 mm without handles, height 49 mm

Condition: Excellent condition, only minor wear. Interesting patina.
