Object: Oil lamp

Material: Fair clay with widely preserved brownish slip

Date: About 1st century B.C.
Hellenistic period

Description:    Almost circular body with sunk filling hole. Ridges around filling hole and the sinking. Long axe-head shaped nozzle, which is connected with the outer ridge of the filling hole by a channel formed by two ridges. With broad flat handle.
Relief decoration on shoulder consisting of leafs or tongues and dots.

Size: Length 112 mm, width 60 mm, height 40 mm

Condition: Almost perfectly preserved, undamaged, only minor surface wear, especially around the handle.
