| Description: |
The perhaps most famous hero of antiquity stands with his weight on his right leg, his left leg slightly forward. His right arm is raised and bent at the elbow, the hand holds the famous club. His left arm hangs at his side, also bent at the elbow, and his left hand holds a snake, likely alluding to Hercules' second labor, the slaying of the Lernaean Hydra or Serpent. The lion skin is draped over his forearm. His abdominal muscles and facial features are clearly defined. His hair is trimmed short.
