Description:    Exceptionally preserved figurine of Hercules. The hero is standing with his left foot to the front, the weight is on the right leg. The right arm is bent and pointing away from the body, the lat palm is rotated upwards and possibly originally held the lion's skin. The left arm is raised above the head and originally most likely held the club. The hair and beard are trimmed short.

Size: Height 104 mm without and 145 mm with base. Width 65 mm.

Condition: Excellent condition. The bronze is very nicely preserved, beautiful dark green patina. Hole in the left hand to which originally an object (most likely the characteristic club) was fixed. Mounted on a modern base made of red stone. The base is partially worn, sticker "Sotheby's 216 Founded 1744" below.
