Description:    Flat bowl with short foot. Sharp transition between the discus-shaped base and stem of the foot, softer transition between foot and body. Two handles attached at the sides.
So-called floral band cup: The outside is decorated with a band of palmettes with five leaves, between them atrophied lotus buds, reduced to vertical red lines. Inside covered with black slip except the center part with two concentric black circles.

Size: Diameter 231mm with and 167mm without handles, height 66 mm.

Condition: Professionally restored from few fragments, one missing segment at rim of about 6cm length remodeled. The decoration and painting are very nicely preserved.

Provenance: Acquired 2022 at Jean-David Cahn AG, Basel, Switzerland. Ex Swiss private collection Prof. Hans Dahn (1919-2019), Lausanne. Acquired April 07, 1954 at Gigliano in Rome, as can be reconstructed from the inventory list of Prof. Dahn which is preserved in copy. In this list, the Kylix was assigned the collection numbers 110 and GV36.
