Description:    Standing deer or stag. Well-proportioned body, proudly erected head with high antlers, short tail. With lug on the back and base plate. Four rivet holes in the base allowed to attach the figurine to a larger vessel in antiquity.

Size: Length 22 mm, height 37 mm.

Condition: Perfectly preserved including the delicately worked antlers. Beautiful dark green patina.

Provenance: Acquired 2019 in a traditional Munich auction house. From the inventory of Münzhandlung Karl Kress, Munich, which discontinued its business activities around 1986 (the last catalogue published by Karl Kress dates to this year). In the stock of Karl Kress before 1980.
