Description: |
The axe from the younger Stone Age is probably a battle axe. It has a wedge-shaped longitudinal profile, ending in a trapezoid shape at the neck. All sides finely chipped and roughly polished. Pointed cutting edge, parallel to the shaft. Between the neck and the cutting edge there is a through hole for the shaft 1/4 of the way. Impressive axe head. A comparative piece is classified as a battle-axe by P.V. Glob. |

Good condition. Some signs of use or erosion at the surface. Body otherwise complete and intact.
