Description: |
Small bowl made of beautiful, thick-walled glass of a bright light green color. The steep walls are decorated with vertical ribs. The base is flattened to form a base, the lip runs slightly outwards. The glass was mold made in a Roman factory of the eastern Mediterranean.

Condition: |
Perfect condition. Completely intact and beautifully preserved surface, due to the small amount of deposits the vessel still looks like it did 2000 years ago. Two ancient deep scratches on the inside of the rim. Modern sticker on the bottom with the inscription "10", the Heckmann collection number.

Provenance: |
Acquired by us in 2023 from the German Heckmann family collection. The founder Peter Heckmann acquired the glass collection in the 1970s on the German art market.
