Description: |
Glass bottle with an angular body and a square cross-section. The bottom is flattened to form a base, the shoulders converge in an arch. A short, waisted neck begins there, which widens to form a lip with a flanged edge. A wide strap handle runs from the neck to the shoulder, flat in the middle and thick on the sides. Probably a product from the eastern Mediterranean.

13.0cm height. 7.2cm edge length.

Condition: |
Very good condition. All original material is present, including the handle. Two cracks stabilized with glue, one on the neck, the other under the handle. Sticker with the inscription "15" on the bottom, the Heckmann collection number.

Provenance: |
Acquired by us in 2023 from the German Heckmann family collection. The founder Peter Heckmann acquired the glass collection in the 1970s on the German art market.
