Red clay with glossy black slip and white and yellow painting

Date: Cumae, last quarter 4th century BC
Early hellenistic epoch

Description:    High cup with ring-shaped foot and two horizontal handles. Decorated with red figure painting showing a naked youth sitting on a stone on one side and a draped youth on the other side. Below the handles palmettes and tendrils and below the rim egg-and-dart.

Size: Diameter 196mm with handles, height 115 mm.

Condition: Very good condition. One handle is broken and reattached, part of the other handle is modern, part of the black glaze is retouched. On bottom an old sticker labeled "3" and "0049" written in black.
