Description: |
Globular body with minimally flattened base. Thin neck, broad discus-shaped mouth gradually descending to the tiny opening in the center, flat handle. The body is decorated with four leaves on the front and a star on the back. Centrally between the four leaves are two vertical rectangles one inside the other, edges rounded, vertical line in the center. To each side hexagon with web pattern between the upper and lower leaf, respectively. Curved lines between the top and bottom leaves, on the bottom decoration of tongues inside and next to each other. Band of x's on the side of the discus. Belonging to the group of so-called "quatrefoil"-aryballoi, which emerged already in the Early Corinthian period, but was most popular between 580 and 560 B.C. |

Restoration on discus mouth, otherwise intact and in very good condition. The original painting is also widely preserved.
