Description: |
Voluminous bowl with lens-shaped body and high conical neck. With ring-shaped base and two high flat handles. Body and inside decorated with several lines of dark slip, band of tears or dots on shoulder and neck, handles covered with slip on the outside.

Very good condition, one handle restored, otherwise undamaged with preserved original painting.

Acquired 2018 from the German family collection Bergweiler which was formed over several generations. Acquired by Ä. and P. Bergweiler between 1965 and 1967 at Antiquitätenhandlung Hermann Zirkel, Cologne, Germany. Reported to have been found in Apulia (Italy).
