Amulet in the shape of the Eye of Horus. Drill hole along the long axis.

| Background: |
The Eye of Horus, also known as Udjat Eye or Wedjat Eye, was the left eye of Horus that was healed by Thot according to Egyptian mythology. Worn as an amulet or used in rituals it should magically protect from accidents and the evil eye. It is also a subject of speculation that the Eye of Horus symbol had a medical use and should actively heal. Despite Eye of Horus amulets being produced since the Old Kingdom and until the Ptolemaeic period most of them can be dated quite accurately thanks to existing typologies.
