Object: Etruscan kantharos (cup used for drinking wine)

Material: Fine black clay with brownish slip

Date: Late 7th - 1st half of 6th century BC

Description:    Cup with deep bowl, short pedestal foot and pair of high-swung flat handles which extend above the lip.

Size: Height 10.2 cm with and 6.2 cm without handles, diameter 16.9 with and 10.6 without handles.

Condition: Perfectly preserved, few small chips at mouth, otherwise undamaged. Fine pottery with thin walls.
