Description: |
A woman sits stiffly on a stool, her hands on her knees. She wears a peplos or a chiton. Oval face with a long nose. Hair waved across forehead and ears. Wearing a high stephane. Back flattened, with rectangular hole. Hollow. Christian Blinkenberg identified this type as Athena Lindia (see Lindos—Fouille des L’Acropole 1902–1914, I, Les Petits Objects, Berlin 1931) |

Restored from 4 fragments. White ground coating mainly preserved, traces of red pigment preserved. Overall a very attractive piece in good condition.
