Description:    Head inclined to the right. Broad, round face with almond-shaped eyes and plane nose. Wavy long hair with middle parting. The goddess is wearing the Isis crown, consisting of the solar disk between corw horns.

Size: Height 81 mm, width 45 mm.

Condition: Fragment of a larger figurine. Head itself in a very good condition with nicely worked and preserved details and remains of white grounding. Top of the crown broken in antiquity. With printed note from Mr. Charlier ochen. Reste einer weißen Grundierung. Beiligender Zettel von Herrn Charlier mit Aufdruck "Zwerggestaltige Beset, Göttin des Tanzes und der Musik 2. - 3. JH n. Chr. Fundort: Nekropole vom Ras el-Tin, 1963" = dwarf-shaped Beset, goddess of dance and music, 2nd - 3rd century AD. Found at Ras-el-Tin necropolis, 1963.

Provenance: Acquired 2020 from the German private collection Stollenwerk. Inherited from German private collection Hildegard and Erich Charlier in 2019. Acquired between 1950 and 1980 at the European art market or from a private collection. Reported to have been found in at Ras-el-Tin necropolis (Alexandria) in 1963.
