Date: Probably about 8th - 7th century B.C. Area in Caucasus which was later inhabited by the Maeotians.
However, it should not be forgotten that very similar iron weapons were used by various cultures over many centuries. Therefore, any attribution without a known finding context finally remains speculative.

Description:    Spearhead with long conical socket, short blade and pronounced midrib.

Size: Length 160 mm.

Condition: Worth the exhibition in a museum. Stable crack along the socket, probably ancient damage from mounting or a strong impact. Very nice patina, smooth surface, rare degree of preservation for an iron object.
