Description: | Large ancient spindle whorl made of clay. Irregular shape, probably originally torus shaped. The whorl has a central drill hole, one side is almost flat.

Height 67mm, diameter 100mm, drill hole diameter 21mm.

Condition: |
Some chippings, one crack. But basic shape intact.

Acquired in 2012 at an art auction. Previously in the German private collection Huebner. Acquired into that collection before 1910.
