Material: Reddish clay with black slip.

Period: 2nd half 5th century B.C.
Boeotian

Description:    Discus-shaped foot, gently rising into a high stem with central ridge. High cylindrical body with wid mouth. High concave handles.

Dimensions: Height 221mm with and 179mm without handles, diameter 202mm with and 133mm without handles.

Condition: Restored from several fragments, with patina

Provenance: Acquired by us in 2017 from the German private estate of C. Burgdorff, inherited in 1994 with the collection of his father Hans-Guenther Burgdorff. H.-G. Burgdorff bought the piece in the 1940ies in Greece. It remained in the familiy collection in Germany since then.
