Description: |
High cylindrical lekythos. Flat shoulder, separated from the high neck. Discus-shaped foot. The scene on the body shows a chariot with four horses. One person is mounting the chariot, holding a spear. Another person is walking to the right behind the horses. In front of the horses a person seated on a stool. Wand of winding lines with lotus buds and band of short rays on shoulder. Spout, handle, upper part of foot and lower body covered with black slip. |

Condition: |
Foot and handle reattached. Otherwise body in very good condition. Typical surface wear for this vessel type. The black-figure scene of fine workmanship is excellently preserved.
