Beschreibung:    Massive applique shaped as a Medusa head with silver eye inlays. Very high level of detail, impressive facial expression. Mouth half-open, eyes looking up. Typical hair dress with snakes.

Size: Height 51 mm, Width 45mm, Depth 19mm

Condition: Perfectly preserved, massive piece of ancient art with beautiful green patina. Small defect at right side of chin.

Provenance: Acquired 2015 from a German auction house. Ex German private collection, in this 1994 from Auction House Gerhard Hirsch Nachfolger (Munich, Germany), Auction 2/94, Lot Nr. 1234.
