Middle to Late Bronze Age.

Description:    Highly stylized bronze figurine. Possibly a priest or a god. The figure wears a long dress, both arms are raised. The peculiar head has a large mouth, nose and eyes. It also features an attached beard and a prominent hair style.

Dimensions: 68mm height without base, 72mm height with base.

Condition: Very good condition with nice dark patina. Professionally inserted into a modern base.

Provenance: Acquired in 2019 in a traditional Munich based auction house. Consigned from a German private owner. From the inventory of Muenzhandlung Karl Kress, Munich. This piece has been in the Karl Kress auction 147, 1969 May 5th, no. 51.
