Description: |
Axe head made of beautiful brown flint. The tool was mounted and used as a stone axe.
The trapezoid sides are polished, the smaller sides unpolished. Slightly curved blade.

Dimensions: |
133mm long, 24mm wide at the butt. 35mm wide at the blade.
|
Condition: |
Perfect condition. Also the blade is fully intact, the axe was probably not used or almost not used. Old sticker "21" at one side.

Provenance: |
Acquired by us in 2018 from the German family collection Warning. Acquired in the collection by Karl Walter Warning between 1905 and 1925, collection no. 21. A hand written list from that time denotes the find spot as Lützow in Mecklenburg, Germany.
