| Description: | Neolithic axe head from Northern or Central Europe. The axe head has a pointed trapezoidal shape and is roughly worked, not polished. A special feature is the modern, museum-quality, custom made shaft which gives a great impression of the tool's former mounting. | 
| Dimensions: | Just the axe head about 9cm long, 4.5cm wide at the cutting edge. The modern wooden handle 40cm long. | 
| Condition: | Very good condition and beautifully mounted. In this form, it can be used directly for an exhibition or for didactic purposes. | 
| Provenance: | Acquired by us in 2022 on the German art market. Previously in the German private collection Pladeck. Acquired into the collection in the 1960s or earlier. |
