Object: Six neolithic stone tools

Material: Grey and brown flint.

Period: 3400 BC to 1800 BC.
Northern European Neolithic to Late Neolithic.

Description:    Group of six stone tools. Consisting of one fully preserved blade, one fragment of a dagger handle and one fragment of a dagger blade. Also three partially preserved axe heads. The front part with the blade is preserved for each.

Dimensions: The fully preserved blade is 10.9cm long.

Condition: The blade is fully preserved. From the two daggers a fragment of each is preserved. And from the three axe heads also a fragment of each is preserved.

Provenance: Acquired by us in 2020 from the German family collection Marienfeld. The founder of the collection, Horst-Hellmuth Marienfeld, found the stone tools between the end of the 1940ies and the early 1950ies on fields on the island of Ruegen in Northern Germany or in the region surrounding the island.
