Bronze sword with long, narrow blade with pronounced midrib and a long grip thorn with a rivet hole at the end. The thorn is characteristic for this sword type, leading to the German name "Griffangelschwert". The grip itself was made of perishable material like wood, horn or bone and is not preserved. |

Excellent condition, complete and undamaged with nice patina. The use in ancient battles left some nicks on the blade.

Acquired 2019 in a traditional Munich auction house. Ex French private collection which was built up in the 1960s.
