Material: Yellowish clay with black slip

Date: Last quarter 7th to first quarter 6th century BC
Middle to Late Corinthian

Description:    Slender vase with a fairly narrow foot, walls flaring and in upper part inclined inwards and two horizontal handles just below the mouth. Interior glazed. On the body frieze with four harpies or syrens. The bodies are unproportionally elongated, while the legs remain short. Rays on the lower body.

Size: Diameter 151 mm with and 104 mm without handles, height 69 mm.

Condition: Excellent condition, painting perfectly preserved. At foot stickers "17", "£485,-", "6087 Corinth c. 575 BC".
