Roman Empire.

Description:    Figurine of a pacing horse with front right leg raised. Mouth open, details of mane, harness and tail are finely worked.

Size: Length 48 mm, height 40 mm (without base).
Weight 47.2 gramm without base. The base (weight 10.0 gramm) is made of 925 Sterling silver.

Condition: Perfectly preserved, beautiful dark green patina.

Provenance: Acquired 2019 in a traditional Munich auction house. From the inventory of Münzhandlung Karl Kress, Munich, which discontinued its business activities around 1986 (the last catalogue published by Karl Kress dates to this year). In the stock of Karl Kress before 1980.
