| Description: | Elegant gold ring with flat broad band made from hammered gold. An oval mount holds the intaglio which shows a male portrait bust facing left (resulting in an imprint facing right). | 
| Size: | Inner size 17mm to 14 mm. Width at plate 13 mm. The intaglio measures 12 mm x 10 mm. | 
| Condition: | Excellent condition with original intaglio, worth the exhibition in a museum. No damages besides a small chip at intaglio and mount. Very delicate example of ancient Roman craftmanship. | 
| Provenance: | Acquired 2016 in a British auction house. Ex British private collection from London, in which the ring was acquired in the 1970th or earlier. |
