Description:    Semi-globular bowl with broad rim and small ring-shaped base.
On the rim four reliefs showing a wild boar lying on the ground.

Size: Diameter 144 mm, height 36 mm

Condition: Small ca. 3 cm long fragment restored at rim, otherwise perfectly preserved.

Reference: See J.W. Hayes, Handbook of Mediterranean Pottery (Oklahoma Press, 1977) Fig 22 Nr. 3, there a less globular shape with slightly curved rim.

Provenance: Acquired 2017 from the German private collection Heimbach in which the plate was inherited from the German private collection of Mr. Karl Naske. Acquired by Mr. Naske in the 1960s - 1970s on the German art market.
