Description: |
Large, bell-shaped vase. Conical foot, flat shoulder, cylindrical neck. Gently curved handles, attached to lip at same height. The body is decorated with black ribbons. Below the shoulder dot decoration. Shoulder with radiate ray decoration, neck decorating with sigma shapes Very interesting precursor of the bell krater which was widely used in later times. Unpublished handle shape. The obvious Corinthian influence allows an attribution to the Greek or Etruscan culture. |
