Second half 7th till early 6th century B.C. Etruscan imitation of the linear Late Proto-Corinthian Payne type, which was produced until the Early Corinthian period. |
Description: |
Pear-shaped vessel with small foot, flat base. Thin cylindrical neck, wide flat discus-shaped mouth, flat handle. Foot and body decorated with black and red bands. Band of tongues on shoulder, band of dots on the discus. |

Condition: |
Good condition, small restoration at discus. Body undamaged, painting widely preserved. Mounted on a plexiglass base for display.

Acquired 2018 from the German family collection Bergweiler which was formed over several generations. Acquired by Ä. and P. Bergweiler July 19th, 1965 at Antiquitätenhandlung Hermann Zirkel, Cologne, Germany. Reported to have been found in Apulia (Italy).
