Object: Beads from the neolithic Ounjougou culture
You are buying 250 beads from the group shown below.
Material: Varieties of stone.
Dimensions: 5mm to 15mm in diameter, 1mm to 20mm thickness or length, resp.
Period: Approx. 5000 BC to 3000 BC.
Neolithic period.
Possibly some beads from the Copper and Bronze Age.
Condition: Fine condition. Some small chips, but no broken beads.
Description Hand-made beads, typical style for Africa some millenia BC. Most are polished and round with a central drillign hole.

These are interesting but well-affordable pieces for experienced and novice collectors alike. You are looking at examples for early jewellery and possibly pre-coin currency. The beads are also ideal for making a wearable necklace.
Provenance: Finds from Northern Africa, Western Sahara. Bought 2007 from a durch antiquities dealer.
