Material: Fair clay with polychrome painting

Date: Late 4th - 3rd century B.C.
Tanagra in Boeotia, or southern Italy.

Description:    Young woman in a foot-length chiton. Her left leg is placed diagonally forward. The fabric billows between her bent right hand, placed in front of her torso, and her lowered left hand. Below, it stretches in diagonal folds over her body and right thigh. Her head is slightly raised and turned to the right. So-called "melon" coiffure.
The front and back were each made from a separate mold, and the head was then inserted.

Size: Height 12.8 cm.

Condition: Nearly perfect condition. The figure is completely intact. The original polychrome painting is partially preserved.
