Obverse: T CAESAR IMP VESPASIAN
Laureate head right

Reverse: Roma sitting on pile of shields, resting on spear, birds in flight on either side. At her feet right she-wolf standing, suckling the twins Romulus and Remus.
The reverse is copying a 200 years older Republican denarius (anonymous, 115 - 115 BC, Crawford 287/1, Sydenham 530).
