Description: Mummyform statue. Arms crossed in front of chest. Their exact position could be a clue to the Tanis region as origin of the figurine. Holding basket on the back. Typical wig for TIP shabtis. Stylized feet. Hieroglyphs in black paint on the front side, arranged in a vertical row.Usheptis from this group are special because of their detailed facial features, contrasting their otherwise simply shaped body. Hieroglyphs roughly "Osiris, Nes-ta-hi, maa-kheru".It is important to note, that all known shabtis of Nes-ta-hi have been in a private German collection since the 1960ies. It was only recently, that this collection has been dissolved and the figurines released to the market. We are happy being able to offer a selection of the best preserved pieces from this most interesting group.
