Our image database provides photographs of ancient art and antiquities for press releases as well as for private use. All artefacts sold in our gallery are documented through professional photographs. The resulting image library contains numerous ancient Egyptian, Greek and Roman antiquities as well as ancient coins. The time span from Stone Age, over Bronze Age and Classical Antiquity until Late Antiquity is covered.The photo gallery aims at providing a vast visual archive equipped with filters and search tools. You are most welcome to search the constantly growing number of artefacts in the image library. We are also happy to authorize hyperlinks from your webpage / forum to the objects depicted in our gallery. For this purpose, please send us a short notification prior to placing a hyperlink. For almost every object high definition photographs are available and can be provided e.g. to document your collection or for scientific papers or popular science articles. Italic Quatrefoil FibulaExtremely well preserved double spectacle brooch from a grave. Dating to the early Iron Age in Italy, 8th cent. BC. Acquired 1986 at Casa Serodine.
Stamped Roman oil lamp with parallel in the Getty MuseumAlmost perfectly preserved. With potters mark LMV.AD[I]EC. An almost identical lamp is on exhibition in the J.P. Getty Museum. From a very old German family collection, acquired between 1925 and 1935. The find region is known to be Tunisia.
Published Hellenistic bronze handle with figurative decorationsFeaturing a three-dimensional depiction of a grim satyr's head and Medusa's head. On both sides of the handle are three-dimensional volutes culminating in the depiction of a charging boar. The workmanship is of exceptionally fine quality.
Large early Greek bronze oinochoe with beautiful patinaElaborately decorated, finely crafted piece. A fascinating example of an early Greek bronze vessel. Formerly in the Galerie Athena in Munich, acquired there in 1991.

Roman juglet of honey-yellow glassA magnificent specimen with a wonderful presence. This rare glass vessel, dating from the 3rd to 4th century, originates from the eastern Mediterranean, presumably from the Roman province of Syria.
Roman ointment bottle of bright blue glassA strikingly colourful bottle for oil or perfume. From the Roman Imperial period, made in a province of the eastern Mediterranean.

Core-formed trefoil oinochoeThe vibrant colours and artistic form suggest a luxury object, likely used for storing or pouring precious liquids such as perfume or oil. A wonderful example of early glass production in the 5th century BC.
