Ancient oil lamps are a core area of expertise of the Alte Roemer Gallery. In our online shop we offer you a large amount of various ancient oil lamps, from the so-called Roman “Firmalampen” or firm lamps, over beautifully decorated Roman Imperial volute lamps, to oil lamps from Syria and Israel as well as Late Antiquity oil lamps from northern Africa. One focus is on lamps from the Holy Land, from saucer-type Canaanite lamps up to Islamic pieces. We furthermore offer you Greek and Hellenistic oil lamps as well as Roman bronze lamps.
